On June 14, 2008 — two years ago today — Run for the Fallen began its 4000-mile journey across America from Barstow, CA. The American flags placed at each mile marker during this ceremonial marathon start were in honor of Flag Day and all soldiers currently serving in the Armed Forces.

They are on a tight deadline to complete the film, and they really need to obtain a small amount of raw video of Marines on the ground in Iraq or Afghanistan. If anyone has any leads, please contact Jessie Vogelson asap at: info [at] filmforthefallen [dot] com

Today would have been the 29th birthday of 1st Lt. Jared M. Landaker, USMC. Jared was killed February 7, 2007, while serving his country in Iraq. Members of Run for the Fallen had the privilege of meeting his parents, Joe & Laurie, in Big Bear, CA, on Day 1 of the Run, and sharing Jared’s mile with them outside of Mu…rfreesboro, TN on Day 52. We honored him on those days and many since. We honor him again today.
